Popular braille printing and translation software Duxbury has released an update to their windows application. Existing Duxbury 12.2 users can update for free today by opening the DBT Win application, going to the help menu and selecting check for updates.
New features of this release include:
- Support for the Braillo 300 S2 embosser
- Support for print and braille on one page using TranSend SE, Romeo 60 and Juliet 120 in all languages supported by DBT
- A new BANA Template for Microsoft Word for U.S. braille readers, and UKAAF template for those in the U.K.
- Improvements when using DBT with JAWS,
- Improvements in DBT's handling of math
- Improvements with the typeform.
- TactileView integration fixes, along with other improvements and bug fixes.
The price of this update depends on how recently you purchased DBT WIN, or paid for an update to the software. If you did so in 2016 or 2017, the update is free. According to the Duxbury website, - If you purchased in 2015, then the update to DBT Win 12.2 sr1 is $245.
- If you purchased in 2013 or 2014 then update to DBT Win 12.2 sr1 is $345.
- If you purchased prior to 2013, then update to DBT Win 12.2 sr1 is $445.
All prices quoted only apply to a single-user lisence.
