ILA to Sell New Voice-Operated GPS Unit from France

Independent Living Aids has entered into an agreement to sell the KAPTEN GPS system, made by French company Kapsys Systems. It's claimed to be the first voice-operated GPS system, though others like Mobile Geo have offered this feature through Microsoft Voice-Command for some time now. Aside from this, the screenless device offers vehicular, pedestrian, and public transportation modes and also serve as an MP3 player and FM radio. A similar agreement with Widget UK was signed in the United Kingdom where it retails for around $300. Here's a review from Mike May on the unit, albeit from a competitor.
