The first public beta of Jaws 12 has been released. Jaws users can download the beta version of this product and use authorization from jaws 11 until the full SMA upgrade is released later this year. Freedom Scientific recommends checking for updates weekly to insure users have the most up to date software. And sure enough, the sticky alt bug is still there. The focus loss bug is still there. The inability to adapt to keyboard layouts because it doesn't use proper system hooks and looks at the hardware scancodes is still there. The virtual buffer freezes are still there. It's distressing. They implement half-arsed feature after feature and old, long-standing bugs never get fixed... and when others have better ideas, fs tries to sue them... all while charging up the rear for it. Business as usual, as best I've been able to tell, ever since HJ became FS.

Things seem to have become worse after the soverign wealth fund from Kuwait bought FS. They don't seem too engaged in the business.
