Kevin Chao has posted some initial observations on upcoming accessibility enhancements for the next version of iOS, version 4.2. This list is based on a prelease version of the operating system, and things could change before the final release. VoiceOver seems to be more responsive in many situations, and also gives new speech controls along with other bug fixes. For a technically-oriented list, check the link on this post. Apple seems to be fixing every bug they find in iOS but leaving the Mac bugs to fester. It's a real shame; they used to be just as fast to fix Mac bugs as they were to fix iOS ones.
