Having access to emergency information is important for personal safety and the safety of those around you. iPhone 4S and 5 users that have AT&T will now have amber alerts, severe weather alerts, and alerts from the president pushed to their phone. If you use IOS 6.1 the update will come to the device automatically. For those that do not wish to have alerts, they can be removed by going to settings and taking them out of the notification center. Presidential alerts can not be disabled however.
