We continue to post coverage of the APH release of their 2010 annual report, which gives clues to the future progress for the nonprofit organization. On the heels of work by the National Braille Press of a low-cost braille notetaker, APH is exploring ceating a version of the Braille Plus with a built-in braille display. Details are very limited on this idea, and it may be a couple years until this idea comes to fruition, if it does at all. Among other more immediate improvements planned is improved support for web 2.0 documents.
As for the Refreshabraille, a Signed Jaws driver is planned as well as some research on a version with more cells. More details are available in the report linked from these posts.
